DHS Assam Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
1. Education Qualification:
a) Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM): Passed ANM training from an institution approved by the Assam Government or recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and the Assam Nursing Council, with mandatory registration under the Assam Nursing Council and Employment Exchange of Assam.
b) Staff Nurse: A GNM Diploma or B.Sc. (Nursing) degree obtained from any institution or nursing college approved by the Indian Nursing Council, with mandatory registration under the Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council, along with Employment Exchange registration in Assam.
c) Staff Nurse (Critical Care):
a) Candidates must possess a GNM Diploma or a B.Sc. (Nursing) degree or higher qualification from a nursing college or institute approved by the Indian Nursing Council. Additionally, they should be registered with the Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors Council and hold an Employment Exchange registration in Assam.
b) Applicants are required to have a minimum of one year of professional experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
2. Applicants are required to hold a valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate issued by the State of Assam.
3. Age Limit:
The age limit for each category, effective as of January 1, 2024, is as follows:

4. Selection Process:
- Preference for Contractual Employees: Candidates working as contractual employees under NHM, Assam, or in other societies under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Assam, will be given priority for the positions advertised.
